About two hours by TGV. For flights, the Rhônexpress tram-train links Part-Dieu station to Saint-Exupéry in half an hour, and the airport opens onto European capitals as well as North America, with Montreal direct.
In the Presqu’île, the 2nd and the 6th, not day to day: everything happens on foot or by transit. La Croix-Rousse lives on foot, slopes included. As soon as you look west, Sainte-Foy, Écully, Tassin, the car becomes again the tool of the school run. The usage question precedes the district question.
